 note = {The purpose of the research is to clarify the status quo of English learning at schools for the deaf in Japan. 105 students were asked to answer the questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed by cross tabulation and X2 test. Whether the students like English classes memorize words by pronouncing the phonetic transcription in kana while writing the words, the students who dislike them memorize by writing the spelling of the words only. The students who use Japanese Sigh Language to communicate with foreign people tend to pick up English vocabulary only writing the spelling of the words.},
